I was going thru my “many many” jotters and I came across a lecture/ talk by someone I enjoy listening to, his name is Olakunle Soriyan. There are 4 key things he said which I took to heart and try to adhere to. They are:
Positioning is superior to momentum, when you get your position right, defend it.
Initial peace does not validate the decision, it’s time that will test it.
Your destiny is your destination.
Purpose is ineffective if not aligned with the following: people, places, events and seasons. These four factors are also tied to two things, these are; time use and energy deployment.
Your time and your energy are major determinants of where you would need up in life. After all, (most times) success is predictable, so also is failure. The world is filled with mediocrity, you only need to do something extra, (e.g. creatively think more and smartly work harder), and people would believe you are a genius.
So be intentional and deliberate on what you do, where you go and who you allow the right to your time. Time is short, and once lost it can’t be gotten back, so spend it wisely. As you grow older, your wisdom is suppose to increase as energy wanes, so use your energy effectively. Let people, places, and events qualify for your time and energy. Recognise the season you are in and deploy your time and energy accordingly.
You are a genius, don’t let anyone make you feel otherwise.
