UBA Group has notified the public of its board meeting for approval of the group’s audited 2019 H1 results and commencement of closure period.
This was announced in a letter to the Nigerian Stock Exchange (NSE) today signed by the companies group secretary Bili A. Odum.
According to the letter, UBA board is scheduled to meet on Thursday 22 August 2019 to consider the Audited 2019 H1 Results for the period ended June 30, 2019.
In compliance with the NSE Rule Book and the Amendments to the Listing Rules, United Bank for Africa Plc hereby declares the commencement of the closing period for trading in the Bank’s shares from Tuesday, August 6, 2019 in respect of the 2019 Half Year Financial Results for the period ended June 30, 2019.
The letter also announced the suspension of trading in the shares of the bank by its directors, key staff members, its consultants, and their family members and associates until 24 hours after the release of its half year 2019 financial results to the NSE
Accordingly, no Director, person discharging managerial responsibility, employee with sensitive information, adviser, and consultant of the Bank and their connected persons may directly or indirectly deal in the Securities (Shares and Bonds) of the Bank until 24 hours after the release of the Audited 2019 Half Year Financial Results for the period ended June 30, 2019 to the Nigerian Stock Exchange.
