Sterling Bank gets new Chief Compliance Officer. CCO

Sterling Bank Plc, the one customer bank has announced the appointment of Mr. Femi Jaiyeola as its new Chief Compliance Officer. The appointment which has been approved by CBN will take effect immediately.

Mr. Jaiyeola is a seasoned professional with over 20 years experience in the Financial Service Industry. He was with Diamond Bank as a General Manager and Group Chief Compliance Officer prior to joining Sterling Bank in April 2019. Mr. Femi Jaiyeola brings to Sterling Bank the knowledge and experience he has generated in Risk Management, Banking advisory, Internal & External Audit, Compliance and Banking Operations both locally and internationally across Europe, Africa and Middle East.

He was the Head of Audit, Nigeria and West Africa cluster of Standard Chartered Bank. His international experience includes 6 years experience with Financial Service Industry as Vice-President of Internal Audit and as an Internal Auditor with Citigroup and Barclays Bank respectively. He also worked in Nigeria with Bond Bank and Authur Anderson now KPMG.

He holds a bachelor’s degree in Accountancy from University of a Ilorin and a master’s degree in Finance and Investment from University of Edinburgh, Scotland. He is a fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria, A certified Information System Auditor and a member of the board of Audit, Investigation and Forensic Accounting.
