Heritage Bank Plc may have cancelled its N45m endorsement deal with the popular Nigerian singer Oladapo Daniel Oyebanjo alias DBanj.
Recall that the ambassadoral deal was signed with the popular Nigerian singer and influencer on his 40th birthday some weeks back. But Heritage Bank was reported to have cancelled the deal because of a rape allegation against him by a young lady called Seyitan Babatayo
According to Seyitan, the popular singer aped her during an all-white party in 2018, at Glee hotel in Victoria Island, Lagos State.
Although the singer has denied the allegation and has instructed a N100m law suit damage aginst her, the bank decided to halt the deal till after the singer is able to clear his name of the allegation.
The bank has however not made any official communication on the deal, a Twitter post by @Gidifeedtv and Nigerians reactions to the post suggest that the officers of the bank and some others connected to the deal have decided to back down until DBanj clears his name.
Here are a few of the responses from Nigerians on the Twitter post.
